Want to get involved in the 2011 Days of Caring?

Dubuque Days of Caring is an event where people from around the Dubuque area will pitch-in to help local charities & organizations by participating and doing some one-time service projects. Bring a group along and make it a company or neighborhood outing. Projects do not require a lot of skill, just the desire to help out an organization in your community.

This event, now in its sixth year, will seek to mobilize more than 400 volunteers from the Dubuque area who will offer their service to help those in need. Services provided included painting, landscaping, washing windows, general cleaning, and maintenance. It's a great way to help our community, it's an incredible way to Make a Difference!

Volunteers can donate as much time as they wish, from one hour to two full days, depending upon their schedules. The most important resource our community has is its people. Volunteers who work, who invest and who care about making a long-term change in the community make it a better place to live, work, play and do business. Volunteers make the projects successful!

An easy way to volunteer, either as an individual, family, business or small group, is to log-on to www.dbqdaysofcaring.org and sign up today!

If your schedule doesn't permit you time to volunteer for a project, we are also in need of in-kind donations such as rakes, paint brushes etc. to ensure the success of the projects. Gifts of any size are helpful and greatly appreciated.

For more information or questions on how you can make a difference through volunteering, please contact Sandy Vaske or Lisa Bowers.

We need you to help make the 2011 Dubuque Days of Caring a huge success. Plan now to be a part of this year's Days of Caring and make a difference!
